Appleby FC were founded by former player/captian Tommy Wilson on July 26th 2020 during the COVID-19 outbreak. The team was first managed by Jeff Jefferson who took us to community leagues such as the IW Dreamers and Magico Nexus leagues. After our first few weeks as a club we quickly gained a dedicated fan base who nicknamed us 'The Apps'. The nickname comes from a shortened version of Appleby and a group of supporters told club reps that "The way Appleby FC play just doesn't seem like they are humans and more like they are coded to play amazing football and just can't play bad in an app". The name 'Apps' has quckly become the brand side of Appleby FC. For us as a club while it is important for us to make money off of our resorces we keep ticket prices cheap so fans can afford them as the fans are part of our team as if they were the 12th player on the pitch.
