Appleby FC Legend appointed as manager

Yesterday evening we had to start the search for a new manager due to Micheal Lance walking away from his former role as manager and so we started our hunt right away.

We had 3 main targers including Oliver Howe, youth coach Alfie Days and former captain Tommy Wilson. After speaking to all 3 of our targets and assessing how the club wish to move forward we have decided who the best option is for us.

It is with great excitement we announce that Tommy Wilson will take over from Micheal Lance as first team manager right away.

As a player Wilson spent 25 seasons out of our 28 season long history and became captain straight after joining the club. Wilson played 99% of games (1% not played = injury or susspention) and scored 98 club goals and assisted 240 times.

After his retirement 2 seasons ago Tommy went on to manage RB Appleby and now he will rejoin the Apps
