Since the end of the season we have been with out a manager due to Sam White's retirement and so we appointed assistant manager Alfie Days as interm head coach for the opening game vs Real Madrid CF which ened in a 2-1 loss at home. Since the 17th of July we have been looking for a new manager and when we interveiwd former winger Diego Rojas we found he is perfect for the role.
When we told him he got the job he wrote to Appleby TV and told them that "I am very happy to manage Appleby FC and I'm ready to put us back into the top level of football". He proceaded by saying "I already spoke to Tommy (Wilson) to tell him he is staying as captin and will be able to be played in more attacking roles".
After hearing this Wilson also wrote to Appleby TV telling them that he is "extreamly pleased to be working with Di (Diego Rojas) again even though I will be playing under him. I did speak to Di after hearing the news where he said I will keep the armband and will playing in more attacking roles".
We look forward to what Diego has to offer and we hope more silverware will come too.
